Study out today in Cell Reports

11/10/2020

Our study of the role of ARID1A in preventing hyperacetylation of super-enhancers is out today in Cell Reports. Mike Wilson and Jake Reske are co-first authors of the study, and with additional contributions from Chandler Lab members Jeanne Holladay, Subechhya Neupane, Nina Cuthrell and Julie Ngo. This study was performed in collaboration with groups from University of British Columbia, Wake Forest and the Van Andel Research Institute. Check out the paper here.

AACR VIRTUAL SPECIAL CONFERENCE: ENDOMETRIAL CANCER: NEW BIOLOGY DRIVING RESEARCH AND TREATMENT

11/9/2020

This week our lab will attend the first AACR Endometrial Cancer conference. Dr. Chandler will present a talk titled "Chromatin regulation of the endometrium: What are our models telling us?" as a part of Plenary Session 6: Novel Model Systems. Mike Wilson will present a virtual poster titled "Inhibition of P300 histone acetyltransferase activity rescues invasive phenotypes of ARID1A-deficient endometrial epithelium" in the Targeted Therapeutics group. Jake Reske will present a virtual poster titled "ARID1A prevents H3K27-hyperacetylation at active super-enhancers" in the Functional Genomics and Proteomics group.

New study published in Human Molecular Genetics

10/19/2020

Our latest study, titled "SWI/SNF inactivation in the endometrial epithelium leads to loss of epithelial integrity," has been released today in Human Molecular Genetics. Jake Reske and Mike Wilson are co-first authors of this study, which was completed in collaboration with the Van Andel Research Institute Genomics Core.

Paper published in Stem Cell Research

5/26/2020

A new study from our lab was published today in Stem Cell Research titled "Lgr5-positive endothelial progenitor cells occupy a tumor and injury prone niche in the kidney vasa recta". This was a collaborative study with many contributors from the Van Andel Research Institute and Mayo Clinic. The paper can be found here.

New publication in Epigenetics & Chromatin

4/22/2020

The lab's latest publication was released today in the journal Epigenetics & Chromatin. This methodology article, titled "ATAC-seq normalization method can significantly affect differential accessibility analysis and interpretation," was spearheaded by graduate student Jake Reske and provides important evidence helping to improve data interpretation of a cutting edge technique used to measure chromatin accessibility (i.e. DNA packaging within a cell).

New publication in Human Reproduction

1/2/2020

This week our lab has published a new paper in Human Reproduction titled "A Mouse Model of Endometriosis Mimicking the Natural Spread of Invasive Endometrium" (PMID: 31886851),

Graduate Student Jake Reske's research featured in MSU ICER Student Highlights

11/26/2019

The MSU Institute for Cyber-Enabled Research (ICER) operates and manages the high-performance computing cluster services used by computational researchers across many fields at MSU. In this month's Student Highlights section, ICER highlighted Chandler Lab's graduate student Jake Reske and his computational biomedical research, which involves a lot of data. Read more in the ICER Student Highlights article, "Applying Genomics to Develop an Understanding of Uterine Cancer". Thanks, ICER!
