The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) held a special symposium this year from May 9-12 at MSU East Lansing campus titled "Evolution and Core Processes in Gene Expression." Chandler lab graduate student Jake Reske received the Second Place Prize Award for his poster presentation titled "Genome-wide analysis of chromatin structure and function following ARID1A loss in the endometrial epithelium." Congratulations!
Mike will be speaking at the Karmanos Cancer Institute during the Ovarian Cancer Focus Group/Molecular Therapeutics Mini Symposium, a meeting to promote collaboration between MSU and KCI researchers. Mike will speak on the topic of his forthcoming publication
Subechhya Neupane, a graduate student in the Grand Valley State University Professional Science Masters in Cell and Molecular Biology (Biotechnology emphasis) has joined the Chandler Lab for a summer internship. Subechhya completed her undergrad degree in Microbiology in her home country of Nepal. She moved to US two years ago to complete her Master's degree. Subechhya was looking for an internship opportunity in Grand Rapids and that is when she found the Chandler lab.
