On Friday, Chandler lab postdoctoral fellow Mike R Wilson was presented with the Outstanding Researcher Award from the American Cancer Society's Associate Board of Ambassadors for his work in the fields of endometrial cancer and endometriosis-associated ovarian cancer. The award was presented at the Young Professionals Finding a Cure Gala "A Night in Havana" in downtown Grand Rapids. Congrats, Mike!

Nina Cuthrell is a pre-medicine student at Hope College. She has done a few semesters of psychology research at Hope College, but was intrigued by Dr. Chandler’s endometriosis research and decided to reach out to him. After being diagnosed with endometriosis at the age of 14, studying gynecological diseases became Nina's life project. She aims to become a pediatric gynecologist to help young women who are going through what she went through. When not in classes or research, you can find Nina playing with her dog, watching movies, or drinking coffee with friends.
