Grand Valley State University Master's student Sridhar Vemulapalli has joined the lab for 10 weeks to complete the internship requirements for his Master of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology degree. He has been assisting Mike with tissue culture and learning the art of Western Blots. We are excited to have Sridhar on our team!
Mike R Wilson has joined the lab as a postdoctoral researcher. Mike comes from the Cancer Biology Graduate Program at Wayne State University, where he recently defended his dissertation titled "Structural Characterization and Therapeutic Utility of the Proton-Coupled Folate Transporter" in the lab of Dr. Larry Matherly. Mike will be pursuing projects related to endometrial and ovarian cancers,

Contact Ron Chandler using the links from the Staff page Research Tech, Jeanne Holladay, has been accepted to the 2016 Mouse Kidney Injury Workshop being held at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee on August 15-19. Ms. Holladay will learn training that is both hands-on and practical from a panel of experts for use with renal injury models that we hope to implement in our research.
Dr. Chandler will be giving an oral presentation entitled, "Exploration SWI/SNF-PI3-kinase pathway crosstalk identifies new vulnerabilities in ARID1A-deficient ovarian tumors" at the Canadian Conference on Ovarian Cancer Research, on Sunday, May 15th during Symposium II-Innovations in Experimental Model Systems.
